Service Upgrades Notice

Effective January 1, 2010, London Hydro requires the installation of a 200 Amp Meter Base as per the Conditions of Service Appendix C EI-29-R12 Section 2.1.1. for all Underground supplied service upgrades up to 200A, panel changes, service entrance cable relocations, recessed meter base upgrades, or any condition that requires the customer's service to be disconnected. For overhead services up to 100A, a standard rectangular meter base is acceptable.

Electricians

For existing services with 2" conduit and a TEE fitting, London Hydro will permit the TEE to remain, however the meter base must be changed to 200 amps. London Hydro will still require any recessed meter base services to be upgraded to the current standard. Additionally, if total service isolation is required where the customer's service feed is out of a pull-box, extra time may be required when scheduling the cut/reconnect date to allow the pull box to be located and uncovered.
